Converters of орх and он series, pulse with forming of sine wave voltage by a method of pulse-width modulation. They are created on modern element, scientific and technological base. They serve for power supply of gyrohorizons of series: юцй, юца, юцх, юцп, LUN, directional gyros DGs and similar to them ones, and also other gyro units and devices with 36 V voltage of power supply and 115 V of variable sine wave current with frequency of 400 Hz.
One gyrohorizon consumes in average from 10 up to 15 W. They were developed for installation in aircrafts of experimental class or independent constructions, and also for installation in restored or repaired aircrafts, that were produced serially, instead of converters such as оюц, ор and он. Converters have high efficiency, from 70 % up to 80 %, depending on loading as distinct from electromachine one (efficiency is about 20 %), small weight of 0,7-0,9 kg (weight of electromachine is 3-10 kg). Element base provides normal functioning at temperatures from -40╟я up to +50╟я.
Converters produce sine wave voltage that provides set time of spinup and speed of hydraulic motors, thus devices are not heated. It also provides regular operating of built-in systems of correction of a vertical or course in devices. It is necessary to note that use of converters, producing rectangular pulse (meander or pseudo-sine) makes operation of built-in systems of correction inefficient. In most cases systems of correction, at power supply by rectangular voltage, fail.
